EMPOWERMENT IN HEALTH AND CARE : WHERE NEXT?
13th June 2022
Free half-day conference 1200 until 1600 BST
An event co-hosted and supported by Centre for Empowering Patients and Communities, European Patients Forum, Global Health Literacy Academy, European Health Futures Forum, CEREF, Personalised Care Institute
A recent survey carried out by the European Health Futures Forum showed a huge variation in approaches to supporting people to be empowered to manage their health and care across Europe.
How do we make sense of this?
Despite many years of health policy promoting patient-centred care and self-management, surveys such as the GP health survey in England show that people still do not feel fully involved in decisions about their care or supported to manage their health conditions.
What can we do collectively to improve this situation?
We are delighted to announce the following programme:

Emma Hyde, Clinical Director: Personalised Care Institute
Vibeke Zoffmann: Head of research, Professor, RN, MPH, Ph.d. Copenhagen University Hospital
